Dictionary.com first describes "peri" as:
pe·ri/ˈpɪəri/ [peer-ee] –noun
1. one of a large group of beautiful, fairylike beings of Persian mythology, represented as descended from fallen angels and excluded from paradise until their penance is accomplished.
2. any lovely, graceful person.
I feel neither "fairylike", "lovely", or as if I'm in "paradise". I feel like I've stepped into a hole and I can't find my way out.

I sure hope the next definition I see for "peri" is "quick, lightening-speed".
