Shelter Dogs

There was a story on CBS this morning today about a woman, Traer Scott, who has photographed shelter and street dogs and then created books with her photography.

Her goal - when doing her dog photography - was to show the love and affection in the animals faces in hopes to promote more shelter adoptions.

I salute her, her work, and efforts. Imagine the impact if every photographer would do the same (and I'd like to add that the same should be done for our wonderful feline friends as well!).

Any animal saved is a new love story waiting to be told.

Found Freedom

My neighbor has two German Shepard dogs. They keep them inside or let them run in their fenced-in-backyard. They are unbelievably quiet and I wouldn't hardly know they are there except for the fact that fairly often they somehow get out of their backyard and roam the neighborhood.

While clipping some brush next to my neighbors fence yesterday, it became clear how they get free.

He cracked me up! He just laid there for about 15 minutes watching Charlotte and me. "Good boy!"  :-)
