Welcome Glow

Sometimes when life seems quite chaotic and busy, it's fun to enjoy some of the simple pleasures of life. For me, sometimes just the glow of a candle makes me feel comfy and cozy.

What makes you feel all cozy and happy?

A good book, a warm blanket, and a comfortable sofa on a rainy day.

Why The Lavendar Tree?

Where did The Lavendar Tree come from? Well, let me explain.

LAVENDAR: I've always had a purple passion. I think it arrived the day I was born. It was only natural that purple came into play somewhere in "my name".

I like the way "lavender" sounds - but for some reason, I think everyone else spells it wrong and it really should be spelled "lavendar". :-)

TREE: My grandmother was an incredible fiber artist - I believe way before the words "fiber artist" ever existed. She was an extremely talented quilter, knitter, crocheter and could embroider like no one's business. She had a talent for the satin stitch to die for! My grandma helped encourage my passion for crafting and stitching when I was very young.

I fondly recall one sunshiny day, standing at my grandma's kitchen window and seeing the tree leaves sway back and forth in her orchard. She said the leaves were "waving" at us. I loved that. (Note: I have found that birch trees make the happiest wavers!)
